ADVISORY AND CONSULTANCY SERVICE ON JAPAN AND JAPANESE CULTURE I provide a wide range of services relating to the culture and history of Japan.
My current project is with Universal Pictures for The 47 Ronin. I first spent time in Hollywood with the design team and have also had much involvement with costumes and stunts.
My experience of Japan goes back 41 years, and I have access to unique sources of information. Projects in the past have included several television or video programmes where I have acted either as a scriptwriter, a series or programme advisor, or simply as an editor.
Last year I helped with the designs for Shogun II - Total War, the computer strategy game.
So if you want to know where to film cherry blossoms (and when!), or if you need the telephone number of a swordsmith, or the name of an authentic (not concrete!) Japanese castle, then send me an e-mail. All fees are by negotiation.

I am now able to provide input into management training. Many companies have realised how important the samurai tradition is to successful Japanese management. As I have considerable management experience in a large organisation I am able to combine my own learning with that of your clients. I make use of classic samurai texts, showing how leadership secrets can be gleaned from the pages and applied today.
Typical input would include an introduction to the samurai tradition; concepts of loyalty and service; strategy and foresight; leadership and command; learning from the swordsmen etc.
